In the northern hemisphere, June ushers in the Summer Solstice. The golden solar king making his presence felt with the most light-filled day of the year. In the United States, we celebrate Father's Day the week before. 

And, ideals around masculine and feminine are confusing, cultural, and inconsistent. In Norse and Shinto cosmology the Sun is feminine and Moon is masculine. The benevolent protector Father archetype is a source of divine love, yet many have more complicated relationships with the concept of fatherhood. 

Rather than be overwhelmed by the many messages we receive around men and masculinity, perhaps we can take some space to explore what the divine masculine means for us, personally, this month.

I believe that every perfume is non-gendered. I’ve shared these with the men in my life and have worn all of them myself. Daikoku is a perennial favorite of mine and some of girlfriends, and Odin is crazy addictive on anyone. Green Man is a traditional “brut” style cologne, and Dionysus and Merlin are deliciously good.
