The Mythoanimist Path is possible because of readers like you. Remember to:
In the northern hemisphere, June ushers in the Summer Solstice. The golden solar king making his presence felt with the most light-filled day of the year. In the United States, we celebrate Father's Day the week before.
And, ideals around masculine and feminine are confusing, cultural, and inconsistent. In Norse and Shinto cosmology the Sun is feminine and Moon is masculine. The benevolent protector Father archetype is a source of divine love, yet many have more complicated relationships with the concept of fatherhood.
Rather than be overwhelmed by the many messages we receive around men and masculinity, perhaps we can take some space to explore what the divine masculine means for us, personally, this month.
To support you in this invitation, paid subscribers can receive 25% off all natural perfumes in The Gods Collection this month :)
As a reminder, every perfume is 100% natural (no natural isolates even), channeled by the deity himself, and created in sacred ceremony. Read more about my process here.
Here are the men available for your pleasure, hehe ;)
Daikoku — Enter the temple, where the aroma of the sun-drenched temple walls merges with sacred incense. Japanese woods are home to abundant offerings. woodsy, incense, hinoki, sandalwood, precious florals, shinto temple
Dionysus — A baccanal celebration beckons you deeper into the ancient woods. Animalic ambrosia, skin-to-skin delights. Sweetness, spice, and heretical fruits spiral to ecstasy. gourmand, rich forest and earth, leather and tobacco, sweet boozy goodness
Green Man — A sunny forest fills with life-giving aromas. Fresh evergreens, herbs, and citrus notes dance with wise oaks and wild beasts. green, oakmoss, bergamot, forest floor, spice, citrus
Merlin — Gifted in magic and energy, Merlin is also a skilled manifestor. Merlin’s perfume is as mysterious as him, with shapeshifting notes that subtly slip from spicy bouquets to rich resinous woods. woody chypre, spice, cedar, tobacco, berry, woods, leather
Odin — Enter the mysterious realms or the Norse all-father, where wisdom and mystery dance upon a decadent feast of indulgence. Rich cognac, oak, and tobacco are grounded with earth and wood, elevated with a touch of sweet spice. gourmand, tobacco, cognac, wood
I believe that every perfume is non-gendered. I’ve shared these with the men in my life and have worn all of them myself. Daikoku is a perennial favorite of mine and some of girlfriends, and Odin is crazy addictive on anyone. Green Man is a traditional “brut” style cologne, and Dionysus and Merlin are deliciously good.
If you can’t decide, there’s always the Divine Masculine Discovery Set.
I hope you love these as much as I do.
