Ever since the lunar eclipse two weeks ago, we’ve all been in a major period of reorientation. Now comes the big finale — a reset in how you relate to yourself and the world around you.
No doubt this will affect some more than others. A friend’s birthday is coming on the day of the solar eclipse…and she’s been puking since the lunar one.
Full release of everything, lol. The cosmic spirits and their lovely sense of humor ;)
With my sun, moon, rising (and Saturn, and Black Lilith, and Pluto) all in Libra, I knew this lunar eclipse would kick off some sort of reset for me. But I suppose you never really know how these celestial events will influence you…
It turns out I’ve been feeling like I’m in a creative void since the lunar eclipse. I keep sitting down to write, but my mind goes blank. Or swirly. Or swirly blankness.
It’s not fun. But, fortunately, by tracking the cosmos, I also know it’s temporary.
It’s a reset. And I can feel that as the eclipse dust settles, the clarity will light up something new.
How about you? Are you feeling the effects? Maybe you’ve just felt a bit more tense, overwhelmed, or confused these past couple of weeks. That’s a pretty normal response to this cosmic cocoon we’re in.
In many ways, this eclipse season is bringing us a second new year. Have you been checking in on the intentions you set at the beginning of the year? Do they still feel aligned? Are you already feeling behind in some way? Or maybe everything happened so fast that you’re ready for something new?
I want to share a resource to support you. Two, actually.
🌞 Resources for Eclipse Season 🌚
The first resource is the year-end journal I created, Reflect, Integrate, Envision: A Workbook for the Soul.
Though written to help you consciously navigate our collective yearly transitions, this journal is basically like spiritual life coaching in book form. And I believe it is the medicine we need right now.
So, here’s an $8 voucher for the April 8th eclipse :)
Enter this code at checkout to save on the journal (good through 4/20): RESET8
The second resource is not spiritual life coaching in book form…it’s real life coaching with me. But not the cheezy life coaching you see on Insta—I promise!
This is more alchemical soul guidance than coaching.
Because I’m an alchemist. I’ve been through the dissolution process more times than I care to remember. And somehow, I keep emerging with even more “refined wildness”. I can help you through this process too.
(And not just because I’ve been through it myself. My personal experiences catalyzed a lifelong deep dive into alchemical skills of transformation. Read all about my insane trainings and experiences, if for nothing other than shits and giggles.)
Shits and giggles? I don’t know why that’s my term du’jour but it is. Enjoy.
Back to that eclipse…
Everyone everywhere is writing about what this eclipse means, or sharing YouTube videos, or chatting with their friends about the impending apocalypse (don’t worry—I’m not that doom and gloom!).
I wasn’t going to add to the conversation on this one, but I needed to write an eclipse email for my side gig. And then of course I wrote too much and they butchered it into two paragraphs. So I saved the scraps and here you go!
While every eclipse can be a portal for transformation and change, each one has its own unique flavor. Let’s break down the energy of this super powerful eclipse.
The Aries-Libra Love Affair
First, this eclipse season (the period between the lunar and solar eclipses, with about 2 weeks added to either side), takes place on the Libra-Aries axis.
This is especially meaningful because our collective “nodes” are also on the Libra-Aries axis.
Rather than going down a rabbit hole about the nodes and how they’re formed, let’s look at what you really need to know right now:
The South Node represents the past. The sign that the South node is in points to the lessons we’ve already learned, the gifts we’ve cultivated, and habits and patterns from our past. This is our karma.
The North Node represents the future. The sign that the North node is in points to the lessons we need to learn and integrate, our place of growth, and our new mission. This is our destiny.
Our South Node and the lunar eclipse are in Libra. A relational sign, Libra wants the best possible solution for everyone involved, to grow through relationship, and to do so in beautiful ways. Ruled by Venus, Libra is a sign of love.
Our North Node and the solar eclipse are in Aries. A sign of self-interest, Aries wants to win, prioritize their own needs, and take action on their greatest passions. Ruled by Mars, Aries is a sign of war.
Gulp…Does this mean we’re moving from peace and love to competition and war?
I mean, plenty of astrologers think we might see increased violence on a global scale post-eclipse…
But do you really need the stars to tell you that there are already wars everywhere? That predictive programming has been priming us to fear nuclear activity? (Thanks Oppenheimer) Or collapse from terrorist threats? (I mean, I did enjoy Netflix’s Leave the World Behind.)
(But what is Barbie predicting???)
While there is always a shadow side to any astrological events, it’s helpful to remember, eclipses are portals, not punishments.
This eclipse season invites you to shed unhealthy relationships and old patterns as you cultivate healthy self-interest, the kind that makes sure you take care of your own needs so you can feel vibrant and inspired as you create great things in life.
(And the kind you’ll need as a foundation during the Age of Aquarius.)
Sun + Moon + Chiron = ?
The second really interesting thing about this eclipse is that the Sun, Moon, and Chiron are all conjunct in Aries.
Every eclipse has a sun-moon conjunction (um, that’s literally what a solar eclipse is), so that’s normal. But Chiron being involved is something to look at…
Chiron is an astroid and represents “wounded healer” energy. So, whenever Chiron is at the party, you can expect to be asked to look at your deepest hurts. Yay!
But this doesn’t have to be as painful as it sounds. ;)
The astrological glyph for Chiron looks like a key — and Chiron energy holds the key to our healing and wisdom, too.
With Chiron participating in this Aries eclipse, you might feel the need to confront and heal places where your sense of self has been hurt in the past. How has your identity been marginalized? When were you knocked down while trying to build your confidence? The stars are supporting you in reclaiming your true self worth!
How’s this eclipse season impacting you? I’d love to hear in the comments :)
Awesome commentary
