Plant Product Drop is Live
This one's for the plant nerds who love maximalist making as much as I do.
This post is definitely too long for email but pretty fun to skim through :) You can read it in your browser here.
Coming in hot though a couple of days late…the new botanical product drop is LIVE.
Every Autumn, just in time for holiday gifting, I share a special batch of wild and garden-grown plant medicines.
These are limited edition offerings, meaning that once they’re gone they are really gone (until next year, when the plants return and I can once again create wild alchemy with the natural world).
I know that many folks who read this Substack also enjoy partnering with plants for wisdom, healing, and guidance. So, I thought I’d do a bit of a deeper dive into some of the ingredients I’ve included in these new products.
I fully admit that this is just for total plant nerds like myself — feel free to skim through and just see the new highlighted products if that’s more your style :)
But first, a quick reminder:

Ok. Here we go…

Cleanse & Protect Spray
This is basically a liquid smudge, made with all my favorite plants for aura protection and energy cleansing.

Wild Plant Apothecary — Healing Oils & Salves
Heal All Salve
This healing balm does what it says — it heals all the things :) From dry skin and red patches to cuts and bruises, this is my number one go-to salve.
Here’s why it works so well, in my very humble opinion: Because it’s full of wild and garden grown plants that I ritually harvested myself.
This makes a huge difference. Having a real relationship with plants and the land they grow upon attunes us to their energy and gifts, allowing for multi-dimensional healing to take place. By carefully growing, tending, and harvesting so many plants myself, I get to pass along this attunement to you. You get to benefit from the ritual reverence these plants were gathered with.
One more thing…since plants are multidimensional healers, using wild balms like this means that your mental, energetic, and emotional bodies also benefit, alongside any physical benefits.
Here are the magical, wild and garden-grown plants included:
Yarrow: Known for its wound-healing properties, yarrow promotes skin regeneration, reduces inflammation, and creates a protective energetic shield, making it ideal for both physical and energetic recovery.
Aspen: Aspen's anti-inflammatory properties provide relief for sore muscles and joint pain, while its energy supports emotional release and the easing of past traumas, creating a balanced sense of calm.
Spruce: Rich in antioxidants, spruce oil soothes skin irritation and reduces inflammation. Its grounding aroma strengthens resilience and restores vitality on a physical and energetic level.
Cedar: Cedar’s antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties are wonderful for the skin, while its deeply grounding energy helps dispel negativity and create a sense of inner stability.
Juniper Berries: Juniper berries detoxify and purify, aiding in sore muscle relief and supporting a refreshed and energized spirit, as well as protection and renewal.
Mullein Leaves: Soothing for irritated skin, mullein leaves help reduce inflammation and offer respiratory relief; energetically, they promote resilience and support clarity.
Wild Lettuce: Known for its mild analgesic effects, wild lettuce provides relief for sore joints and muscles while it encourages relaxation, calming both the mind and body.
Pacific Bleeding Heart: Traditionally used to ease pain and tension, this plant is soothing for both the muscles and the heart, symbolically supporting emotional healing.
Red Dock: High in antioxidants, red dock is great for cleansing and revitalizing the skin, while also supporting circulation and fostering grounded, nurturing energy.
Motherwort: Calming and comforting, motherwort soothes irritated skin and promotes muscle relaxation, while energetically nurturing the heart and relieving anxiety.
Skullcap: With anti-inflammatory properties, skullcap is excellent for calming and soothing skin, and is cherished for its grounding effects, supporting emotional resilience and nervous system balance.
St. John’s Wort: Known for its anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving properties, St. John's Wort soothes sore muscles and helps heal bruises, while energetically lifting the spirit and supporting resilience.
And here are the potent essential oils:
Lavender: Widely known for its skin-healing, soothing, and anti-inflammatory properties, lavender is perfect for wound care and calming skin irritation.
Helichrysum (Immortelle): This is a top choice for healing bruises and damaged skin, with its exceptional ability to reduce inflammation, improve circulation, and accelerate skin repair.
Copaiba: A powerful anti-inflammatory, copaiba is also gentle on the skin, helping to reduce redness and support skin renewal for cuts and abrasions.
Frankincense: Helps regenerate skin cells, reduces inflammation, and promotes rapid healing of cuts and bruises.
Chamomile: Exceptionally calming, this oil is highly anti-inflammatory and supports skin repair, making it ideal for soothing bruises and sensitive skin.
Carrot Seed: Known for its skin regenerative properties, carrot seed oil helps rejuvenate skin and support healing in damaged or discolored areas.
Turmeric: With its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, turmeric oil helps soothe skin inflammation and speed up bruise fading and overall skin healing.
Myrrh: Antimicrobial and skin-rejuvenating, myrrh helps in wound healing and is also energetically grounding, excellent for emotional resilience.
Spruce Hemlock: With its grounding and strengthening aroma, spruce hemlock supports muscle relaxation and enhances energy protection.
Patchouli: Promotes skin regeneration, reduces inflammation, and grounds the spirit with its rich, earthy energy.
Ylang-Ylang: Calms the mind, balances emotions, and opens the heart to joy and self-love.
Cedarwood: Soothes skin irritations, supports mental clarity, and offers grounding, protective energy.
Rose Geranium: Balances the skin’s natural oils, uplifts the spirit, and fosters harmony and self-compassion.
Rock Rose (Cistus): Encourages skin renewal, instills courage, and provides powerful energetic protection.
Rosewood: Soothes skin, uplifts the mind, and balances energy for spiritual growth.
Blue Tansy: Calms inflammation, fosters emotional peace, and promotes alignment with inner harmony.
Peru Balsam: Soothes irritated skin, comforts the spirit, and fosters warmth and sweetness in life.
Sweet Orange: Brightens dull skin and gives you an energetic boost of joy.
Yes, I’m a maximalist. But these next two salves are a bit more tame.
Artemisia Flying Ointment
Artemisia has long been celebrated across cultures for its potent spiritual qualities. Made with 5 potent artemisias, this salve supports meditation, dreamwork, and ritual practices.
This salve is infused Mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris), Wormwood (Artemisia absinthium), and White Sagebrush (Artemisia ludoviciana) — all grown in my own organic gardens — along with essential oils of wildcrafted Big Sagebrush (Artemisia tridentata), White Armoise (Artemisia herba-alba, Mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris), and Wormwood (Artemisia absinthium).
Here’s a peek at the magical benefits of this salve:
Witchcraft and Divination: A key ingredient in traditional “flying ointments,” all artemisias were believed to help witches and mystics achieve trance states, astral travel, and contact with other realms. Their ability to enhance psychic vision makes them a favorite in dreamwork and divination.
Chinese Medicine: Mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris) is a sacred herb for moxibustion, used to activate qi and deepen spiritual awareness.
Indigenous North American Traditions: Honor white sagebrush for its ability to purify spaces, protect the spirit, and open pathways to the sacred.
European Folklore: Artemisia is associated with protection and banishment. It was believed to ward off malevolent spirits and negative energies, making it a staple in charms, incenses, and purification rituals. In medieval times, wormwood was used to consecrate magical tools and spaces.
Ancient Greece and Rome: Artemisia was sacred to Artemis, the goddess of the hunt, the moon, and wild places. It was also used medicinally, symbolizing protection and resilience.
Absinthe and Creativity: During the 19th century, wormwood became famous as the key ingredient in absinthe, inspiring poets and artists like Van Gogh and Baudelaire. Absinthe’s association with altered states of mind and creative exploration reflects the plant’s historical role in unlocking hidden worlds.
Physical Benefits: Artemisia salve soothes sore muscles, calms irritated skin, and can ease minor aches and pains. Known for its anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties, it can be applied to bruises, bug bites, or areas of tension for gentle, herbal relief.
Very Special Skin Salve
I know this salve has a funny name. The truth is, I decided to make a very special batch of salves just for myself and as gifts for loved ones…but I made a lot. So here you go ;)
This is a super-duper skin healing salve. It’s infused with three types of wild plantains, fireweed, St. John’s Wort, and calendula from my garden — all amazing for healing any skin issues you might have.
And, I added my three favorite essential oils for skin, two of which are ridiculously expensive, which is partly why this salve is so special:
Lavender: the perfect all-purpose healer, lavender is soothing, anti-inflammatory and smells wonderful
Helichrysum (Immortelle): expensive but so worth it, this is a top choice for healing bruises and damaged skin, with its exceptional ability to reduce inflammation, improve circulation, and accelerate skin repair.
Rock Rose (Cistus): ridiculously good for skin renewal, including fine lines and wrinkles, deep hydration, and uneven skin tone…worth the expense!Apply this deeply healing skin salve from head to toe and rejoice in the healing power of plants ;)
